Cull Haven
Population approx.: 1.000.000 (Including a roughly estimated number of unregistered unhumans)
Cull Haven is one of the oldest cities in Fictionaria. Settlers from the southlands clustered early on at the (later named) Cull Canal’s shores that connects the People’s Lake with the ocean. This geographical position made it a comfortable location for fishing as well as for trading. It was also the distinctive locatio – cramped between a deep gorge and the Spitland mountains – the settlement soon gained it’s name – Cull Haven. Over time and with more and more settlers arriving, it spread in size and soon covered a large area, making it one of the first cities in Fictionaria.
With the invention of the steam device many years later, the city experienced an industrial high, revolutionizing the core of Cull Haven’s infrastructure from fishing and trading to steam driven production. Eventually Avivessels were invented and rendered the water site location even less relevant, and thus completely shifted Cull Haven’s function as transition point to a city of import, export and production.
Cull Haven is divided in five general districts: Downtown, Oldtown, the New Territories, the Outskirts and the Slums. Downtown is the relatively new and modern business and shopping district built on the Cull-Hills, mostly funded by the DUF when they took over government. Needless to say, Oldtown is the oldest part of town, with residential buildings and factories dating back to the industrialisation. In the New Territories, built on the northern side of the gorge, only the newest and most expensive housings and companies are located. The Outskirts are covering the area south of the city to the Spitland Mountains, providing a safe and family-friendly environment. The Slums are mostly run-down corrugated metal housings and ruins down in the gorge that were abandoned and later inhabited by unhumans and people outside of society.
Due to the large amount of hidden unhumans living in the Slums, the DUF never managed to completely liberate the City, and thus allowing the creation of an unhuman community, governed and managed solely by themselves.
